Build on stub

Your developer environment is fully self-service and ready to roll. Connect systems, automate workflows, or build custom integrations on your own terms - no permission slips required.

1. Set up your environment

stub operates in two distinct environments:

• Testing: Spin up a sandbox account and business at test.stub.africa.
• Production: Manage live operations directly from your main dashboard at stub.africa.

2. Grab your credentials

Authenticate your requests using your API key, Business UID, and App ID. You can find these under Settings > Business > Advanced in either dashboard.

• API Key: Your secret bearer token (starts with sk_test_ in sandbox).
• Business UID: Your business's unique identifier on stub.
• App ID: A custom identifier of your own design (e.g., my-custom-integration). Pass this with your requests so our team can identify your application in our logs.

🔒 Keep your API key secure. It grants complete access to your business records.

3. Read the docs and connect

Head over to developers.stub.africa for the full API reference, schemas, and SDKs.

• Test Endpoint: Point sandbox requests to test.connect.stub.africa.
• Webhooks: Zero config required. Simply pass your webhook URL directly in the API request body, and we'll stream asynchronous events to you.

4. Build and test

Your developer access is scoped strictly to your own business data. Build, test, and break things in your sandbox for as long as you need—no external setup, review processes, or approvals required.

5. Distribute your app

1. Click the green chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of your dashboard.
2. Let our support team know you are ready to distribute, and we'll activate multi-business access for you.
