Your stub subscription is a business expense like any other, and stub holds itself to the same standard it asks of your books: a proper tax invoice for every charge, sitting where you can fetch it. You'll want one when you reconcile the monthly debit on your bank statement, when you claim the VAT back, and when your accountant asks for supporting papers at year end.
Find and download them
They sit at the bottom of Settings → Billing, under Tax invoices — one row per invoice, showing the date, the invoice number and the amount. Click a row and the invoice opens as a PDF, ready to save or print.
Nothing there?
- The Tax invoices section only appears once this business has a paid subscription with invoices against it. On Sneaky Side Hustle there is nothing to bill and nothing to show.
- If your subscription is handled by a partner, your invoices come from them, not from stub.
Get your details right first
The tax invoice uses your business details, so check them before your next billing date. Head to Settings → Business and check your Name, Registration Number, Tax Number and Sales Tax Number — plus your Address, under the Details heading further down the same page.
Changes apply to future invoices, not to ones already issued — so fix anything wrong before the next billing date, not after.
Claiming the VAT
stub's subscription is a deductible business expense. Record it under Expenses so it lands in your books, and attach the PDF to the record so the paperwork sits with the number.
Tip: Download them all at year end while you are exporting everything else. Your accountant will ask.
