Your billing date is the day of the month stub charges your card for your subscription. Cash flow is timing, and that charge should fit yours — not the other way round. If the debit lands at the wrong moment in your month, move it so it hits when the money is actually in the account.
Change the date
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Click Edit next to Billing date.
- Pick your new date — anything from tomorrow up to 31 days after your current billing date.
- Click Next. stub shows the new date and the exact once-off adjustment before anything changes.
- Click Save.
stub confirms the change and shows your new billing date.
How the adjustment works
Moving your date later extends your current period, so your next invoice includes a small once-off amount for the extra days. Moving it earlier shortens the period, so you get money off your next invoice instead. Either way there are no surprises — stub shows the exact amount before you save.
If the date you choose is the one you are already on, stub tells you nothing has changed and leaves it alone.
Pick a good date
- Just after your best-paying customer usually pays. The money is in the account when the debit hits.
- Away from month-end, where rent, salaries and every other debit order already land.
Note: One move covers at most 31 days. To shift your date further than that, move it again next cycle.
Can't see the setting?
Billing date only appears when stub bills you directly off an active subscription — on the free plan, during a trial or after cancelling, there's no upcoming charge to move. If a partner handles your subscription, the date lives with them; speak to them.
