Invite your team

Invite the people who help you run the business from Settings → Team, and choose what each of them can reach — Owner or Editor.

Pro
This is available on the Growing Business or Established Entrepreneur plans

You don't have to run the books alone. Add the people who help you — a partner, a bookkeeper, a manager — and they can work in stub alongside you, without touching your bank accounts or billing unless you make them an owner.

It's the better way to work with a bookkeeper too — instead of emailing exports back and forth, they log in and work on the live books, and you keep control. Team seats are part of premium: the Growing Business plan includes 3, and Established Entrepreneur has no limit.

Add a member

Go to SettingsTeam, click Member, enter their Full name and Email address, and click Add.

They get an email invitation. Until they accept, they show as pending on your Members list — you can resend the invitation from their row.

Only an owner can add members.

The two roles

  • Owner — full access to everything, including bank accounts, team members and billing.
  • Editor — full accounting access, but cannot edit bank accounts or manage team members.

Everyone you add starts as an Editor, and for most people that's the right place to stay. Make someone an Owner only if they should be able to reach the business's bank accounts and manage its plan.

Change someone's role

On SettingsTeam, click the member, choose Owner or Editor, and click Save.

A business can have more than one owner. If you are the only owner, stub stops you from making yourself an editor — assign another owner first, or you would lock the business out.

Remove a member

On the same page, click the member, then the trash button, and confirm. On your own row the menu reads Leave instead — that's how you step away from a business that isn't yours.

Check your seats

The bottom of the Members list shows how many seats you are using. The free plan has a single seat — you. Growing Business includes 3, and Established Entrepreneur has no limit.
